Be who you are! Humility!

In Ojibwe: D'baad end’zin (humility).

Humility to allow that we are equal to everyone else. No more and no less. Take pride in what we do, but the pride that we take is only in the sharing of the accomplishment with others. To be right size means dropping the mask that we wear to impress others. Step forward to do the work regardless of the credit.

One of the seven gifts brought to the people by the First Elder.

The Seven Grandfathers Told the First Elder

Wisdom, Respect, Honesty, Humility, Bravery, Love, Truth

The seven teachings must be used together as one. You cannot have wisdom without love, respect, bravery, honesty, humility, and truth. To leave one out is to embrace the opposite of what that teaching is.
If one of these gifts is not used with the others, we will not be in balance. We must remember these teachings, practice them, and teach them to our children
